Installing Windows 7 into Acer Aspire M5600

Just reinstall windows 7 x64 on Acer Aspire m5600 PC desktop; ones get there is no sound at all. Although other devices works properly but no sound on computer really annoying. He’s try visiting Acer site but seems the only drivers that are available there for the Conexant Audio drivers are 32-bit drivers.
Basically, resolving the problem of sound drivers on Acer Aspire m5600 is the same like resolving other drivers problem; you’ll be require to
find out the right hardware ID of your machine. This is below the following way for it:
- Go to device manager
- Click on audio
- Choose Properties and hit details tab
- Drop down menu and find hardware ID.
Now copy and paste the ID string. Over that ID, you will easier to find out exactly drivers needs for the sound on Aspire m5600. Through some searching might you were meet that chip has been use by various other laptop manufacturers and some have supported Vista, but thought
it works well.
However, to make you easy looks like Acer Aspire m5600 PC has a
Realtek ALC888 audio set so here are the way to find require drivers
- Go to Realtek site.
- Hit Downloads link located at the top
- Select High Definition Audio Codecs.
- Accept the agreement by tick the box and choose Next
- Download the .exe for Vista/7 64-bit
- Run the installer and wait until finish.
After reboot the Acer Aspire m5600 PC desktop, the sound should works fine. Just for notice, you don’t need x86 + x64. Only download the x64
driver.
