Many users of Acer Aspire 6920 laptop, which runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit often hard to find the drivers. Even where they visited Acer Website or over Windows Update. Usually those drivers are:
- SIM Card Reader
- Fingerprint Reader and software
- Media Control seems to work, but the volume does not follow the pad properly.
- Besides, the battery not charge was another problem found.
Others who contact the Acer Support because of a battery is not charging on Aspire 6920 with Windows 7 installed get an answer that maybe cause of the motherboard being dead and Acer wants to reinstall their Vista OEM but not fix the problem.
Naturally, at the Aspire 6920 or most laptop model, Vista drivers are also compatible with Windows 7. You can check the compatibility. Specifically through Right click then hit Properties.
You can try this over the setup.exe for the drivers by seeing as they where in .zip files and seeing how Windows 7 treats the files automatically. So far, using this method the Finger Print Reader is working, and thought it works in other drivers.
