Acer vượt HP về sản xuất laptop năm 2010

Chủ tịch công ty sản xuất máy tính Đài Loan, J.T. Wang, tin tưởng vào doanh thu bán laptop sẽ cao hơn Hewlett-Packard trong năm nay.

"Chúng tôi đáp ứng nhanh hơn các đối thủ về nhu cầu trên thị trường", Wang phát biểu tại cuộc họp cổ đông Acer tại Đài Bắc. "Do có sự chuẩn bị, chúng tôi đã là một trong số những công ty hiếm hoi có thể đáp ứng thị trường khi nó đang rơi vào tình trạng bão hòa quý II năm ngoái".

Theo hãng nghiên cứu thị trường Gartner, Acer đã có doanh số bán laptop mỹ mãn vào quý III năm ngoái với con số 9,49 triệu máy, vượt qua HP là 9,47 triệu máy.

Công ty sản xuất máy tính Đài Loan cũng hướng tới 10 triệu máy tính để bàn được tiêu thụ hết năm 2010, tăng 2 triệu so với năm ngoái.

Mặc dù vượt Dell để trở thành công ty sản xuất máy tính đứng thứ hai thế giới, Acer vẫn còn thua HP khoảng cách khá xa khi cách nhau tới 18% thị phần toàn cầu.

Windows 7 Installation into Acer Aspire 4540

Recently bought a new Acer Aspire 4540, the laptop comes without OS. So, it owner installed an old Windows XP he has onto it. Basically, the installation runs smoothly. The only problem come was there are no XP driver for Aspire 4540. Here’s he share the way he did to resolve the problem.

Back on the case, in order to make a new Acer Aspire 4540 runs, finally he’s buying Windows 7 32-bits Ultimate version and installed it on the laptop. Everything works fine and he has no trouble at all. Until then, the bad stuff starts when he’s try to install the drivers he found on the manufacturers page here. Indeed, almost all of them worked, except for the wireless and the video card controller. It’s an ATI Radeon HD4200 @256MB.

To recognize those devices, he goes to the Device Manager and noticed that it was using a standard VGA card with a PnP generic monitor. He’s to uninstall both drivers to try installing the setup packages, but didn’t work because the Aspire 4540 ask him to restart the machine. However, if the OS launch, the message appears “The new drivers were installed and working correctly”.
